The Love Lotus Foundation was founded in 2024, with the expressed goal of supporting local San Francisco Bay Area high school students attain the dream of a college education. Being based in Redwood City, we have partnered with Sequoia High School to identify promising young students in this endeavor.
We will provide scholarships to students of all academic abilities and financial means, who demonstrate a desire to succeed and achieve their educational goals.

Jennifer Nagarajan and Aditya Nagarajan nerded out in high school and college, met in law school, moved together to New York to practice law, moved together to Washington, D.C. to practice more law, got married in Napa, California, and then moved to the San Francisco Bay Area for good. We have three beautiful children with us, who are generally well-behaved, as well as two perpetually hungry cats.
In early 2023, we received the incredible and joyful news that Jennifer was pregnant with our third child. Unfortunately, on May 10, 2023, during a routine ultrasound appointment, we learned that our little son, Prem Niraj Nagarajan, had passed away. He was born sleeping three days later on May 13, 2023 at Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City.
The loss of a baby is heartbreaking in so many ways. For our family, the thought of an unclaimed future was most devastating. Never knowing what his smile would look like. How he would laugh with this older sister and older brother. What his favorite food would be.
As we sought ways to explore how best to commemorate the memory of our son, we reflected on our own personal experiences and how education played an undeniable role in the lives we were able to build together. Our hope is that, with your support, we are able to play a small but impactful role in a young person’s journey towards their future, hopefully full of aspirational dreams and exciting lived experiences.
